Why Your ‘WHY?’ matters
“Why do I have to put the dishes in the dishwasher?” “Why do I have to take a bath?” “Why do I have to be home at curfew?” The list goes on and on… If you have a child, you get it. Your child is constantly asking you “Why?” as they navigate and figure out the world around them. Now, on the flipside, have you ever asked yourself “Why?” “Why do I ask my kids to pick up toys before dinner?” “Why did I buy that new car?” “Why do I yell when my kids don’t listen?” Have you ever thought about your “WHY?” What if I told you it’s…
Wishing you a Merry Christmas
WISHING YOU A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS Hanukkah is over and Christmas is only 3 days away. As you gather with family and friends this season, I would like to wish you and yours a joyous Christmas filled with love and laughter. The interview was filled with so much awesomeness I had to explore it immediately. First, what is an Adventure? Wikipedia describes an Adventure as an exciting or unusual experience. In the interview Chris explains how smaller…
How to Shift your Child’s Behavior
A few weeks ago my 5 year old and I decided to head to the beach… The weather was good so we were going to ride our bikes. I packed beach toys, sand buckets, drinks, and a lunch. I had the bike wagon loaded up and we were almost ready to head out. Just then I turned around to see my daughter standing in the doorway wearing a pink dress-up costume, dress-up jewelry and pink plastic fuzzy dress-up slippers? Really? She knew we were heading to the beach. I wanted to scream. I was not ready to deal with the challenge of getting her to change. Then again what choice did I have? How…
